La primera Conferencia de Prensa se llevó a cabo del día Jueves 13 de Noviembre a las 12:00 HRS en el Salón de las Américas del Instituto Peruano del Deporte con la presentación del equipo peruano a competir en el torneo..
Fue presidida por el Presidente del IPD Sr. Arturo Woodman, el Presidente de La Federación Peruana de Esquí Acuático Sr. Ricardo Caillaux.
Estuvo presente los medios de comunicación así como familiares y amigos de los competidores.

WELCOME!
We are honored by your presence here today.
A few years ago, when a small group of water ski enthusiasts here in Peru decided to create this wonderful scenario, here in Bujama Lacus, we dared not imagine this moment: that our home would become the arena for the young people of the world to compete and display their abilities on the liquid glass.
But here you are! It is our pleasure to have you all, from every corner of the world, twenty three different countries, here today.
We have a saying in Spanish: “Mi casa es tu casa” Our house is your home. I know some of you have been here for a long time, some less. I hope that you have enjoyed your time here and will continue to do so during this event.
Water ski is not a common sport. It is not much shown on TV, it is not on the front pages of the newspapers. But it is a sport that asks as much as any other, if not more. It requires dedication, commitment and drive, not just for those who practice it but for those who stand behind them in support. Thank you, parents, for your unyielding efforts. We would not be here today without you.
In these days of war and instability in the world, it is a testament to the unifying power of sport that we are all here. In this competition you will not fight for land, you will rise above that. Together, you all will walk on water.
Once again, welcome all. We are humbled and honored to have you. May the best person win – good luck and GOOD SKI.
